  Kernel32 is the creation of
Manchester-born Alex Kearney, an active member of the netlabel
community with previous releases on Soulseek, OpenLab and Drift Records
and a "mixtape" on op3n.net. Born in 1983, Alex developed an avid interest in electronic music at
the age of 14 and upon discovering Music on the Playstation began
producing his own music shortly thereafter. Kernel32
is one of Alex's many musical projects, in which he attempts to blend
his influences in IDM, ambient, hip hop and world music with real
instruments, field recordings, vocals, found sounds and the spacey pads
of early 90s Warp Records to create his own blend of organic
electronica. In the past he has played alongside such artists as Deaf
Center, The Field, Lackluster and Andreas Tilliander at the Lab30
Festival in Augsburg, Germany. Alex is one half of the
shamanic/folk/rock/electronica/whatever outfit Captive Crow and his other solo projects include Bannister Boy & Jacques D'or.
An album titled 'A Conveyorbelt Of Broken Dreams' will be released through Myuzyk towards summer 2008.
